Foreword

This book is an incredible compilation of sustainability frameworks and wisdom shared by faculty from across the University of Minnesota system. This work comes out of the Institute on the Environment (IonE) Educators Program that brings together instructional staff to develop innovative ways of weaving sustainability and environmental justice into their teaching. As the Program Manager of Affiliate Impact, I have had the honor of seeing this cohort of IonE Educators come together to collectively imagine how their wisdom and experience could make a bigger impact. This book is a reflection of their collective efforts and is intended to be a resource and inspiration for fellow educators who are interested in teaching the next generation of leaders skills to address the growing environmental and social challenges of our time.
