At the end of the module, you will be able to

  • define different types of authority, like subject expertise (e.g., scholarship), societal position (e.g., public office or title), or special experience (e.g., participating in a historic event).
  • Identify basic indicators of authority and credibility
  • determine the credibility of sources by using research tools and other indicators of authority.
