One of the crucial elements of change management is sustaining momentum after you have gotten the ball rolling.  It can be easy to get everyone off and running with a new tool and then assume that things will progress on their own. But organization development scholarship tells us that sadly isn’t how it works.

Which means that you need to have plans in place — ideally before the start of the term (see “Planning”) — for how you will maintain your momentum throughout the entire length of the course. The recommendations that follow will help you to sustain and improve your usage of the tool and to set yourself up for success when you finish the term and are ready to reflect on the experience.
