8. How can I track student progress?
It is possible to track student progress using Canvas Modules with Requirements.
Using requirements, you can communicate to students what unit or activity completion looks like. For example, students might need to view a page with readings, contribute their understanding of the content to a discussion, and then achieve a particular score on a quiz in order to complete the module.
There are two ways that using requirements can be beneficial:
- Students can see at a glance what needs to be completed for a particular week or unit.
- The instructor can see a visual scan of a student’s progress through the module.
To view progress data, go to Modules and click on the View Progress button in the upper right corner. Select a student.
Limitations:
You can see how individual students have progressed through a module, but you can not see the whole class progress for this course.
