Cherry Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1-21 oz can cherry fruit filling
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 6 oz chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Combine cake mix, eggs, and cherry filling. Mix until well blended
  2. Pour into a greased 9×13 pan
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes
  4. In a small sauce pan, combine sugar, butter and milk.
  5. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and cook for 1 minute
  6. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth
  7. Pour frosting mix over cooled cake, allow frosting to cool before serving
