What is a scholar?

What does it mean to be a good scholar?

When we talk about academic integrity, we often talk about what it means to be a good scholar.

Being a good scholar means

  • crediting and respecting the work of others, whether you are citing your sources, or working on a group project.
  • creating your own original work (not purchasing it or reusing someone else’s work).
  • knowing when to ask for help, or for clarification on an assignment.
